Who you’ll be working with:

  • Report to the Director Global EHS & Quality
  • Quality Engineers in all of our manufacturing plants
  • New Product Development and Customer Service teams


How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • In 1860, our founder, Thomas Armstrong, was among the first of American entrepreneurs to discard the old business principle "Let the buyer beware", meaning the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality of products before buying.  To this day, we pride ourselves in our uncompromising quality and our Global Quality team continues to pave the way.
  • Quality Engineer jobs are responsible for managing quality control systems to help us deliver quality products to our customers.
  • Accountable for finished product quality of all products sold in North America.
  • Run Process Improvement and Quality Improvement projects.
  • Participate in plant Quality Audits.
  • Analyze customer feedback provided by Customer Service to prioritize quality improvement initiatives and drive corrective action at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Evaluate claims from customers against current product specifications.
  • Own product specifications and test method documentation control.
  • Own Change Control Process to ensure proper execution to documented procedure.
  • Own product visual standards process and physical storage to ensure proper execution to documented procedure.
  • Work with New Product Development to ensure product specifications meet customer requirements and manufacturing processes are capable of meeting these requirements prior to launch.
  • Moderate travel expected, approximately 15%.


What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Engineering degree, Bachelor's required
  • 2+ years with Quality Assurance methods in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with advanced data analysis, Minitab, statistical process control, reporting and presentation
  • Ability to travel 15% - 20%
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork skills, and experience leading projects or groups
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established policies and procedures


We’ll be excited if you have:

  • MBA or an advanced degree in a related field
  • ISO auditor certified Quality Engineer
  • ASQ certified Quality Engineer
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with testing and installing resilient flooring

Quality Engineer Salary: $52,000 - $70,000 based on experience
