Armstrong Flooring, Inc. (AFI), has an opportunity for a Product Management Specialist in Lancaster, PA.  This position works with the Product Manager to plan, organize and execute successful product lines from conceptual stages through product life cycles in order to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate objectives by performing the following duties.


What you'll be doing:

  • Participates in business strategy development by providing conceptual and strong analytical support.
  • Drives the new product development process by authoring comprehensive and analytically supported NPD documentation. Coordinates with the project manager, finance and others as needed to develop products on time, under budget and to market requirements.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to assist the Product Manager with product definition, development and launch activities. Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
  • Supports promotional activity with the sales team. This position will be the go-to-resource for pricing, promotions, and additional support.
  • Supports the process and tactics to sell dropped products and off-goods. Works closely with customers and the sales force.
  • Assists in managing the product line by carefully analyzing competitor offerings, our strategy and manufacturing costs to optimize margin to the business.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for assigned categories. Develops and conducts product knowledge training for customers, sales and other internal groups.
  • Analyzes market research and identifies and tracks market sales/trends.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Up to 15% travel may be required


What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or related field
  • 2-4 years of related experience, including coordination of cross-functional projects


We'll be excited if you have:

  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree
