WORK

 

Who you’ll be working with:

  • Report directly to the Operations Manager
  • Manage 2-3 Production Supervisors

 

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Provide effective leadership and direction to the operations team, specifically addressing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Successfully coach and teach the operations leadership and production teams.
  • Model personal and organizational leadership to engage teams in delivering an effective safety process, including Risk Assessments, Gemba walks, and successful 5S systems.
  • Observe all safety and security procedures and determining appropriate action beyond guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement of line operations while collaborating with other departments on consistent systems across the site.
  • Lead the sustainable improvement of product quality and customer service.
  • Participate in developing annual budget for operating area, trend financial performance and, ensure all monthly/annual financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Design, Product Management, and Marketing on new product introduction from feasibility through implementation.
  • Utilize analytical tools to analyze process capabilities, including quality attributes.
  • Implement root cause analysis problem solving in order to drive operational improvements.
  • Establish processes and measure quality performance through improving the utilization of Lean Manufacturing techniques including Kaizens, Visual Management, and effective root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
  • Maintain a high level of customer awareness throughout the value stream and focus on delivering material that meets requirements.
  • Drive organizational vitality and effectiveness within operations through dynamic coaching and goal setting to drive a bottom up support structure with effective labor relations and building partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Occasional travel for conferences, vendor meetings or similar activities may be required (<10%).

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

 

We’ll be excited if you have:       

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of Six-Sigma principles and Lean manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team through a root cause analysis/problem-solving process
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple and ever-changing priorities and meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrated track record in driving continuous improvement and achieving goals
