Based in Lancaster PA, Armstrong Flooring serves both the residential and commercial markets.
Armstrong Flooring, Inc.is seeking experienced Maintenance Mechanics to effectively maintain equipment, process control systems and mechanical equipment/processes in a way that contributes to the continuous improvement of our Lancaster PA plant’s manufacturing processes and overall performance. This role is a rotating 3 shift position with daily, weekend and Holiday overtime opportunities.
Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the primary responsibilities include:
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, pump and conveyor system.
- Working knowledge of fabrication, welding, piping, rigging and alignment.
- Familiarity of plant systems such as fire protection, steam and compressed air.
- Root cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtown, etc. to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks.
- Evaluate Continuous Improvement opportunities
- Supporting and being a participant of a proactive safe environment.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Performing other duties as required to maintain or improve plant Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED & 4 years of relevant/industrial mechanical experience.
Or
- 2 year technical degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Journeyman Papers
- Experience with SAP Maintenance Module or equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
