We are currently hiring for a first shift Facilities Mechanic. The primary responsibility for this role will be working with sheet metal fabrication. This is to include the design, estimating, layout, and fabrication. Additional job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Sheet Metal – Design, estimating, layout, and fabrication
  • HVAC - installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and Freon charging / recovery
  • Steam Boiler maintenance and monitoring
  • Steam DA Tank – maintenance and monitoring
  • Air compressor – maintenance and monitoring
  • Air Dryer – maintenance and monitoring
  • Thermal Fluid Systems
  • Chiller maintenance
  • Water Tower maintenance
  • Emergency Generator – repairs and maintenance
  • Fire Pump – repairs and maintenance
  • Air Scrubber – repairs and monitoring
  • Grounds maintenance – lawn care, snow removal, road/parking lot repairs, and fence installation/repairs
  • Excavation – front end loader, backhoes, dump trucks, track hoes
  • Water Treatment (boilers, DA tank, chilled water systems, and water towers) – testing and adjustments
  • Painting
  • Lubrication
  • Equipment Cleaning
  • Demo work
  • Building Repairs – Floors, Roofs (installation, repairs, and maintenance), walls
  • Brick, masonry, and concrete work
  • Customary housekeeping associated with the job
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and or repairs on equipment listed above.

 

  • Required Qualifications;
    • Training / certification in sheet metal design, estimating, layout, and fabrication
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in sheet metal design, estimating, layout, and fabrication
    • Minimum of 2 years experience in building maintenance
    • Must be able to work weekends and holidays, on an as needed biases
    • Must be able to work overtime as needed
    • Able to work a rotating shift when needed. This plant is a 24/7 facility, and has 3 shifts. While this position is a first shift position, there will be times in which we will need the team to work other shifts, or rotate with the production team. There will be a steady schedule available.
    • Able to climb and work at heights as needed to perform routine tasks
    • Conduct daily safety risk assessments on routine and non routine job tasks
    • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

 

  • Preferred Qualifications;
    • Training / certification in HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and repairs
    • Freon charging and recovery license
    • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
    • Working knowledge of SAP
    • Working knowledge of Predictive Maintenance Technologies (Oil Analysis)
    • Working knowledge of Micorsoft Office software package
