WORK

 

Under the direction of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, the Automation Electrical Engineer will serve as the primary subject matter expert for automation and building controls for the site.  Purpose of the role is to create a primary gatekeeper for automation control, building control, material handling robots, as well as work to identify, plan and manage network wide automation improvements and upgrades.

 

How you’ll contribute to the team:

  • Automation control and programming
  • Manage projects and cost saving initiatives across the plant
  • Operational line support
  • Troubleshoot and enhance our systems
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and update processes and procedures
  • Minimal travel may be required

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering is required
  • Experience commissioning and troubleshooting machine/ process controls is preferred
  • Design, deployment, and testing experience, Allen Bradley and Rockwell controls preferred
  • Experience or knowledge of Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000 and Studio 5000 or similar systems
  • Practical experience in network infrastructure and IP-based networks. Experience with Ethernet, Devicenet, and serial communications preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming and configuration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Demonstrated successful communication and negotiation skills in order to manage conflicting and/or multiple demands, including ability to present to various level within an organization
  • Experience in utilizing Lean and Six-Sigma tools and methodology
